WTG Studios is the creative agency (based in Southern California) of Whiskey Tango Globetrot, where its founder, Spencer Spellman, brings to the table (or cocktail bar) more than a decade of experience and expertise working with travel, food, drink, and lifestyle brands. That experience and expertise in this case has been just about everything but the kitchen sink, including copywriting, photography, video, website design, digital marketing, public relations, and even cocktail creation. (If Spencer was a cocktail, he'd probably be a Singapore Sling because there are so many ingredients to it.) Brands that Spencer has worked with have included everything from travel agencies, like Expedia and Travelocity, to major financial institutions Bank of America and Capital One, to TV networks Travel Channel and HLN, to drink brands, such as Elijah Craig and Anheuser-Busch.

#Expediachat was started by Spencer several years ago in partnership with Expedia as a brand awareness campaign on Twitter. At its peak, the weekly event on Twitter garnered several hundred participants, while reaching several million Twitter followers, and with impressions between 30-60 million people. Social analytics company Simply Measured, used some of the above stats and graphics in a case study on social media branding lessons.
Northstar California blog
Spencer was hired by Vail Resorts' North Lake Tahoe ski resort, Northstar California, to design a first-of-its-kind microsite, blog and ambassador program, called Tahoe Ascent. Launching at the beginning of the 2017/2018 ski season, the site averaged 65k page views through the winter season, and produced more than $200k in revenue. Tahoe Ascent was awarded GOLD by Travel Weekly for the top overall blog in the travel industry for 2017.
